Papa Day 2015

Today is papa day in germany.

Papa got to sleep in. The kids got to chose their outfits. It kills me when they insist on wearing their matching jackets in that my-kids-are-so-fab way.

Always the pink boots!

And check out that brand new Jake shirt.

Together we walked to get the Mr. His favorite morning breads. Afterwards silliness ensued.

The silliness was wonderfully loud.

And adorably sweet.

Then it was quiet just a little too long :)

Happy Papa Day to all you role models out there showing the next generation how to be excellent men and women, partners, parents, friends, and hopefully peace makers. You are needed. You are important.

14 Months & One New Skill

Dude. Time flies. And with each week it just picks up speed. How is the even possible?!

Case in point: on September 8 little Mr. PJ man turned 14 months old and we missed it. Completely. As in, I wouldn't have ever realized it but I got a email with a message that read:

"PJ is 14 months. Where are the pictures."

Yeah, no question mark. Just a period. You know who you are.

Happy Month-day PJ! Right on time, he upgraded from a baby bottle to a real bottle.

Relax, its a non-alcoholic caramel drink.
But he owned it like a natural.

I'm not quite ready for him to be ready for freshman year of college.
He gets this from his daddy.

See? Told you. He gets it from his daddy.

Wild horses couldn't have dragged that bottle out his hands. I told you, he gets it from his daddy.

Only his daddy.

And thank god I went to college before social media and you can't prove me wrong.

Lucky's Taproom and Eatery

Over a year ago my uncle made good on a long-term dream and opened up his own bar in Dayton, Ohio, with a name and theme to honor my deceased Grandpa (his dad), called Lucky's Taproom and Eatery. http://www.luckystaproom.com/

We finally got to see open and serving on this vacation. PJ was enamored with the toy cars that once belonged to his great-grandpa, leading to a good amount of singing.  Loud singing.

Great Aunt L-Lady chilling with PJ.

Great Nana and PJ loving on the toy cars.

Great Uncle Drewmeister, owner & operator, and PJ interest.

The lunch crew and our soul-singer PJ.
